I want to get some sized roughly at 185 with a relitively low profile at like 50 or 45 ish or whatever. for 14" wheels.

the best i can find at the moment is 185/50/14 yokohama's for £130

am i just being really tight orrr is this about as good as I'm gonna get??

tight, lol

but seriously tho, you get what you pay for, u could always spend 20 quid a corner and end up in a hedge

You being tight

I'm paying £125 for 4x 195/50/15 Toyo's.

I always think they are a bit pricey but you just have to bite the bullet. I've had a set of rims refurbed for ages just sittin here with no tyres. If your really tight you could look for a set of shitty rims with the tyres you need on ebay i nearly got some crap 106 rims with 195/45's on for £60 on ebay

is that price for all 4?

If so then you are being tight

I would have had to pay £220 for some toyo's if I had kept my alloys/polo

yeh maybe but I'm pretty sure i want some new decent tyres. and i know its sad but they've got to look cool too lol.

kerrly £125 for 4x 195/50/15 Toyo's is well good how did you manage that?/

it just winds me up how expensive they are cos my mate whos a machanic managed to pick 4 yoko's for 30 quid each brand new!

I'd quite happily pay that.

ok he got them for mate rates but still its not fair!!! lol

alright I'm done ranting now..

no sorry the £130 deal i said earlier was for 2

tyres for my golf are £100 a corner

I payed £165 delivered for 4 195/45-14 Falkens.

Expect around £40 a corner for decent tyres.

S'all about £28.50 fitted for my 13"s :D

Shite tires though.

Ebay, then i quoted that price at my local tyre place and they mathched it.

Try Camskill.

Road.Rain.Hedge.

13's. + 100mm down = No speeding :)

It's like people slate nankangs in the wet, but i've had to slam my brakes on a fair few times in the wet and they're fine. My mate karl with a mk1 golf gti track car said he had them once and they were alright.

I had them on my 13's too remember, loved the handling..

'ditchfiners'.. :?

Mine were £156 for 4. They're so dodgy, they have 2 set of tread depth markers - english and swedish iirc!!!

Hedge hookers ftw! lol.

lol. If you get pulled by cops for the english one being illegal tread, just say 'Ja?'

I doubt they'll last that long! Scrubbing tyres FTL !!!

i have nankang ditchfinders

, good times, seriously though they are crap but nice and cheap and last for ages most propably because they are made of duplo plastic

tires on my car are fucking shocking, so much understeer and aquaplanning! il find out what brand tomorow

Thats the any reason Nank's have bad grip is that they're hard compound, but then they'll last longer.

Honestly i used to give my Mk3 so much grief round the twisties on 165/55-13's, and even in the wet it never let go on me..

Some people must drive like looonies!

i got 165/55 nankangs and have no complaints, for 28.50 you cant argue, decent grip in the wet never let go on me, you should try 29 year old 145's, now THEY are ditchfinders.

I paid £270 for 4 Yoko 185/50/14's for my valver and thought it was a pretty good deal, that included fitting and balancing.

i run "asiastar" on the front of my passat an "fate 'o' rama"s on the back, on my gt i run yoki A539's all round.

i'm screwed with the slightest hint of moisture...

www.blackcircles.com are fairly reasonable get most of mine off em
