Have recently painted my back calipers red, so anyway went xmas shopping and to see my brother earlier n when i got home i noticed the drivers side one looked realy dirty but after trying to rub the "dirt" off i realised it wasnt dirt. Basicly it looks like the paint has burnt its not flaking or anything just looks black on most of the caliper / drum, my brakes were a bit hot but surely this isnt supposed to happen is it. I used hammerite paint as i was told this was good fot the job but i aint got a fukn clue whats happened here.

Was thinking of just simply sanding them back down and painting them again but whats to stop this happening time after time?

Any ideas?

Id asume not lol, i cant recall it saying it was. Would this have been printed on the front, i cant even check as my pikey brother has niked it from my dads lmfao

ryt, mate, give them a good sand down , getting all the shit off, and old paint and then giv them a few coats of "heat resistant" hammerite, or halfords own will do

lol brakes work on friction, friction causes heat......

Anyone know of any websites 2 get some from as can only find black on ebay
