Was chuffed with my new base and started to crack on as i didn't have any plans Friday night, Started to strip the damaged parts off to see what was left:

post-17772-1226243441.jpg

The damage wasn't as bad as i thought, the bumper was repairable, drivers side headlight and indicator were fine, just needed to replace the bonnet, grill, passengers side headlight and the bulk head, air-con rad and the radiator were still ok.

So i took the front panel out and inspected the damage, then set about taking my other polo apart for spares, after no time at all i had the front panel test fitted and the bonnet, grill and headlights lining up nicely:

While all this was going on I was also prepping the front bumper and smoothing the top vents out:

post-17772-1226244055.jpg

I bridged the holes using pieces of plastic from an old bumper.

Bit more work going on today, been getting the bumper prepped still, painted some primer on to make sure I've got the shape right,

also done a few little bits hear and there, put my Sony stereo in and changed the door speakers, taken the badge of the tailgate and sprayed it black.

Hopefully I can have the bumper, grill and wheels in primer this week!
