I've just finished smoothing my bumpers....just wondering what you used to spray your front bumper with? Did you use rattle cans....is the finish good?? Great build thread man....cant wait to see it all together...!

I'm using octoral basecoat from my locla paint supplier and spraying using spray gun and compresser, cant match the finish properly with rattle cans, but then again I've only got the equipment as the old man ran a garage.

Its not cheap, You need a compresser with a good size cylinder, good gun and airfed mask.

The materials are expensive to I've spent about £150 on materials but thats to do a few cars.

If youve not got the equipment then its rattle cans or pay someone to do it as its cheaper in the long run.

Might help but I got the glue off mine with some very sharp stanley blades, used about 4 blades per side tho but it was a very quick way of doing it and didnt scratch the paint work although I thought it would

New updates for Feb.

Due to my daily suffering a dent and a £200 bill to repair the merc i backed into the polo has sat neglected. But after getting my fudge wheel through the post and being fed up of my daily not starting and running shit. I decided to nail the polo together and get it ready to mot and Vic check.

So 1st i got the black sticky back off the car using the fudge wheel (highly recommended)
