just wondered I'm planning on gettin a gt box for my mk2 coz 4 speed isnt very good on motorways , but what do i have i to change to make it fit or is it i direct swap?

direct swap, might want to consider a normal 5-speed though instead of a GT one as the GT one prob wont be much better on a motorway.

Will need the box,selector linkage & a new clutch. Not sure about your arb on the mk2. On the mk3 they are the same so not needed. Might be worth doing the flange seals before you put the new box on the car & it will need new oil.

Someone else has done this recently. Would be worth doing a search on this site
