Now I'm sure most of you will laugh and say not to bother, however having bought my wee 1.0 6n, I'm curious as to what I can do with her, and what other people on the forum have done before.

Now I'm spoilt by my daily, a mk4 Golf Estate TDI (130) and its just wave after wave of torque, truth be told, I rarely take it outta 6th gear when driving along, so having the "funbox" is going to take a bit of getting used to again as I used to drive one about 6 years ago.

So what have people done here? I wouldn't be doing anything extreme, but its nice to see what options there are. Prob just drill the air box for the fun of it!

and my little car is also a 1ltr polo - you sound like me! mines a mk3 though. engine wise it has a full stainless exhaust, no cat or centre box (sounds good! doesn't go anywhere though...) I'm in the middle of swapping to MPI from a polo GT and I have a piper cam waiting to go in.

I'll be happy if I can match the power of a 1.3

I've drilled the box of my lupo 1L, and swapped the panel filters for jetex items, sounds a bit better and responds better but its still slow as fuck! haha

hi I've got a 1.0l aswell and know the feel of having more power out of a push bike, but all the 8v 4-2-1 exhaust manifolds are the same on the 6n so that wid the decat and only a rear silencer gives you a lil bit more grunt, best to match the manifolod to the head using engineers blue and a stedy hand with a grinder n rubbing down paper making sure that the manifold sits inline with no overlaping on the ports. you can also regring your valve seats using 3 multi angles, and fitting double springs for the valves which eliminates valve bounce :-), few things can be done but is it really worth it on a 1l thats what i keep asking myself.
