Featured Replies

hiya guys,

i need some serious help.

i was parked up overnight a couple of weeks back and came back the next day to find my wing mirror hanging by my door where some f****r had pushed it down :x . i have now bought some m3 stlye wingmirrors + baseplates to replace my old (and broken one),

the thing i need help with is, how do i get the old wingmirrors off??, how do i take that black plastic cover off thats covering the screws on the inside of the car? (is it a pull off with force job, or are ther clips ect...)

any help an tips would be fantastic!

cheers, jon.

As far as I remember you have to take the door card off, and the screws will be just there behind the wing wirror!

And yeahh I think getting the plastic cover off is just a case of pulling it off with a flathead of something alike! :)

I'm prity sure you just take the part at the back of the wing mirror (the one inside the car) and theres a few clips there and i should then jsut pull from the outside then, never done it but thats what it looked like to me when i had to take my door car off before.

ok, il give it a go. cheers

you need to take the door card off as theres 3 screws that hold the mirror on. you can get to one if you take the black cover off on the inside of tghe car, but you'll never get to the other 2 if you dont take the door card off!

ok then, well that brings me to my next question... how do i take the door card off?? i cant see any skrews etc to remove on the door card so how does the card come off? is it a 'pop' off jobby?

cheers

'pop' the plastic strip off the handle... should be some screws... then 'pop' the whole door card off... simple

Don't forget to 'pop' the electric plug jiggy off (you'll see it when the doorcard is off) before yanking off... the mirror
