Hey, i have a standard 6n P reg and insured it when i was 17 but have since turned 18.

I cant have alloys or any oher major mods on my policy, I'm paying around £1500 third party fire and theft and have no years no claims

have i been ripped off?

and if i have can i swap to another insurer?

would that be direct line your with?? I had a similar situation with them when i was your age, was 19 and it was £1400 third party fire and theft, and i wasnt allowed any modifications until I was 25 - absolute joke.

I switched to Elephant and got an immediate drop to £600 third party F&T - this was a good 4 years ago though, but I've always found that they give the best deals regarding insurance with mods declared. I'm now 24 and with all mods declared fully comp I'm paying £354 a year.

With regard to switching, do you pay direct debits each month?? in which case you can simply cancel your policy and get your direct debits stopped - if you have paid the whole ot in one go, you might have to wait a while for a refund to come through as they would need to calculate the length of the policy held etc etc

Elephant are awsome. - £1540 6n 16v @ 18 mod declared and no ncb. also threw my parents on as named drivers

Oh and got a quote again with elephant on a vr6 vento and they only wanted another £40
