You can't tune a vr6 with good £/bhp results, they have very poor bhp/liter aswell

if you want to make your polo go fast get some proper driving lessons at a track this is cheaper and will benifit you in every car you drive , i used to whoop loads of faster motors down back lanes in a chopped spring mk2 breda

You want a fast car for the wrong reasons.

I'm saving up to do a 1.8t conversion in my MK1 golf cus the head gasket has gone. With 180 hp i will have about 210bhp per tonne and thats gonna be faster than most things on the road.

Its gonna cost me 2k to do the conversion and thats before i have upgraded the brakes and suspension.

It also takes alot of time and effort.

If you want to go faster i would start by taking the subs out of your boot.

it got its ass handed to it by a virtually standard mk2 16v (although it was surprisingly quick for a 180k plus jobby lol), not sure if you class the fact i would of expected it to beat a 16v as high expectations?

and just to add, both of them were hammering the shit out of them and both got a good start from the lights (tire squeal and flames galore lol), and there was another forum member in the car with me as we tried to keep up with them so its not just my word

When you say beat, do you mean beat to 60? g60 boxes aren't made for 0-x times... mid range is amazing though. My suspicion is that maybe the 16v wasn't as standard as you think, or the G wasn't putting out 200 brake lol

16v had drilled air box and nothing else at that point (i know cause i owned it afterwards), G60 was pushing nearly 200bhp (can't remember what mods it had now, it was nearly a year ago but it was a good spec), and it was from a standing start at lights on a roundabout and down the A46 (think it was the A46) the mk2 just kept pulling and pulling away.

edited just to add: so yeah it was from 0-x amount which may not be its strong point, but that was the point i was trying to make, it just wasn't that impressive at all... fucking sounded amazing being ragged with the roof down tho
