Cd/auto Changer Options For 2002 Polo Se

Featured Replies

Hello I have bought a really nice 2002 Polo SE which has a casette player with "support for 6 cd changer" (I think its a Gamma).

Can someone please provide me with some advice on where I can get a compatible 6 CD Changer?

I don't want to cut the car up and want a standard installation.

I used to own a Polo GTI (previous model) and the 6 CD changer used to be in the boot.

Can someone please give me some advice on what I should be buying and where it should be located ;)

thanks

Miles.

Hello Miles,

You'll need a VW changer which is available from VW at a huge cost (about £350) or somewhere like ebay. It's usually mounted inplace of your cubby hole in the dash. To be honest, as the polo uses a DIN (standard) space for the headunit I'd suggest a tasteful aftermarket unit with a CD changer. Installation usually takes 2 hrs and no, you don't need to chop up your car. Common placement options would include boot at it would preserve the cubby hole or the passenger glove box. It all depends on your patience and skill.

ebay item: 260317975030

A little bit of research does no harm.
