Polo 16v Insurance Young Driver

Featured Replies

I'm lookin at buyin a polo 16v and i found insurance with bell for 1200 FC but thats for the year. i then phoned up asking how much it would be monthly an they said it would 180 a month so that £1800 a year!!

I'm only 18 so ther aint many insurance companies that will insure me. the next best one a t1300 a year an 0% interest for the month is directline but they wont let me mod my car.

any ideas?

I know you wont want to but perhaps the best thing would be to go and buy a nice cheep to insure Polo, dont mod it and do your best to get 1 years no claims bonus behind you ! Then look at a 16V.

Honestly mate. I'm 17 and am driving a modified valver. It's costing me over £3k a year now with everything claimed + legal.

it aint worth it. I'm having to sell up because of it :(

trust me. go with something thats got 8 valves.

well so far i may be aimin to keep it all standard an just go with directline. i can live with its height an then wen I'm 19 because only got couple of months till my birthday and i can afford the £1900 just dont want to haha. and i can always just save up till my birthday an then just pay for a year an then itl be cheap.

dont tell them its modded........

well i will see insurance wont let me as I'm going for directline soo i will have to either wait or just see how it all goes.

tbh just get a valver and dont mod it, save your money all up then next year when you get your 1st year ncb youll have a nice bit of cash behind you to do what you want... its a bit naughty not tellin them its modified.. youll constantly be drivin with a doubt in your mind knowin that if summat happens you are fooked!! ;) hope you get it sorted..

Hi

Just a query, is this a 12 month policy or for 10 months? as most insurers will not accept 10 months as a full years no claims bonus. And it is always wise to declare any modifications to your insurers.

Cheers

Dan

I hope you crash and injure someone. Undeclaring mods is pathetic, if you cant afford to insure it then dont fucking mod it.

Your insurance will become invalid due to the undeclared mods and you'll be hit with the huge compensation of the person you hit.

Doesnt sound so rosy now?

wooo foxie dont get so aggressive, i said i aint moddin it till i can afford the insurance. ill only change thins that they will let me do! and I'm takin off the coils for now until i can.

Not declairing stuff makes you a tit, if you want it that bad there is no point in buying an 8v and selling in a bit as you will prob loose the money on the 8v sale that you would spend on the extra insurance.

Try quinn they are cheap and let me lower my car for £100 extra but I was 19 with 1 year ncb

dont tell them its modded........

silly bitch!

tried quinn an thy wanted silly money for third party so I'm just gonna leave it till i can afford to change the insurance an modify it
