For sale is my 91 Polo Gt Coupe, I've owned the car since beginning of the year, The car is a cool ass little thing but i need something bigger now so it has to go.

I converted the car to run on Yamaha R6 Carbs, it has the R6 fuel pump and a custom inlet manifold with vacuum advance/retard and brake servo vacuum coming off all 4 carbs which stops missing under braking etc. I've been running the car on the carbs since july and had no real problems at all, jus the first few weeks of running them i.e. working out the kinks and getting them balanced etc. and recently changing to a new inlet manifold which is a revised version of the first one.

The car is lowered on 60mm springs up front and Gmaxx adjustable shocks and springs on the back.

7x14 Steffan BCW's on 155/55/14 up front and 8x14 Steffan BCW's on 165/55/14 Round back. - Uber Stretch

It has and ashley 4 branch manifold into a standard hidden exhaust, which i replaced as the system was too loud but you get a reet nice sound from the carbs anyhow.

Inside the car is nice and tidy with black headlining and the interior from an 83 Scirocco Gt. The seats are cool as fook. I have mainly used the car as a two seater as the rear seats dont really fit but do sit in place should the need arise. Or a genesis rear bench wouldgo straight in.

Real headturner on looks and the sound of the thing is nuts. Carbs = No rev limiter = be careful

Bad points:

As with all 17 year old cars there are a few niggly bits,

Firstly stevie wonder painted the n/s 1/4 and is a different colour to the door.

I have had a few issues with it starting on these cold mornings, nothing major just need to be patient on a morning and give it chance and i dont think its helped by the starter needing to be cleaned as its getting a bit lazy.

Wheels are struggling with the salt on the roads just beeing bare polished ally, do have some bbs for it but cant afford tyres. nothing to worry about just need to keep ontop of them, and could do with a good polish

The exhaust mount broke off last week as they do cause they are a naff design but hopefully resolve it this week

Other than that its sweet, drives real nice and is a really solid car with no rot at all.

Hi Guys,

Just to let everyone know I'm having a few issues with my email so I'm unaware of new pm's etc. I'm currently in the middle of putting the car back onto injection. I'm hoping to get it done by the end of the weekend. So a full carb set up including manifold will be up for grabs shortly.
