I have my car all lined up for next year, waiting to be driven. However to get my insurance down so i can afford it i need one years no claims. Now I could be normal and wait until Feb 09.. but when you're 18 and have a golf vr6 on the drive...

anyway, is it possible to ring up insurance and end a policy, but still get a years no claims even though I have 2 and a half months outstanding. Obviously it'd cost money I think.

Also means my polo will be coming up for sale shortly!

Insurers will require 12 months continous insurance to issue a years no claims bonus so ending it early you would actually lose the years no claims.
