Hi I've seen some 17" Vauxhall Astra wheels which are 4 stud same as mine and I hear vauxhall wheels will fit VWs. I have a 1997 polo and was wondering if anyone knows whether thay will fit? and if so will they need low profile tyres?

Depends if your car is lowered or not, most 17" wheels come with low profile tyres anyway.

I believe Vauxhall is 4x100 stud pattern but I'm not 100% sure. 17s are a bit big for a Mk4 Polo though in my opinion, but its your car.

iirc then vauhall are the same pvd, but have a different centre bore.....could be wrong tho

The GM bore is 0.5mm smaller than VW, so you may have problems.
