Smooth Jazz Brown 6n Rolling On Rs's

Featured Replies

For Sale is my gorgeous early '99, 1.4 16valve Volkswagen Polo

I cant believe i have to do this! But after being informed that i have lost an insurance claim (from previous car), i am unable to find the kind of money to cover the renewal costs :crybaby: I'm so gutted to have to sell up so soon. I've absolutely loved this car from day one, 4 months ago, after buying it from Scriv who is responsible for building such an awesome car!

SO:

Make:

Volkswagen

Model:

Polo 6n (mk4)

Year/Reg:

1999 (Private reg. which will be included in the sale)

Mileage:

128000 on the clocks, but 26000 since a full rebuild

and has just been serviced 1000 miles ago.

MOT:

8months

Tax:

4months

Good points:

Where do i start really.......i know I'm going to forget things.

Resprayed in Audi Jazz Brown (loads of gold and looks amazing), with Cream roof and centres of wheels.

Rolling road printouts for 122bhp, not fully clued up on the engine work but i know there was forged pistons, head work and it was chipped when the engine was rebuilt. Pulls hard and goes well. Rebuilt gearbox 1000 miles ago using rally servo bearings and new clutch.

Summer wheels; BBS RS001's in 15x8j front and 8.5j rear, with 2inch and 2.5inch polished dishes respectively (not to sure on offsets, I'm sure someone will know) wrapped in 1000 mile old Toyo T1R's 195/45 all round.

Winter wheels; G60's with merc a class hub caps wrapped in 195/50 Conti sports.

Air Conditioning, Electric windows and mirrors.

Flared arches all round.

Deleted front plate recess and tow eye, side strips, shortened boot plate recess with smoothed handle and solenoid.

Deleted rear wiper and single front wiper.

Raceland Coilovers.

Brand new 6n2 windscreen, and 6n2 roof gutters.

6n2 all red rear lights.

New Depo black projecter headlights with 6000k hids (not angel eyes in pictures).

Braided brake lines.

Polybushed all round.

Raceland half show cage.

Corbeau Carrera bucket seats.

Momo team 280mm.

7 inch screen mounted in custom centre console, with DVD player in the glovebox

Alpine headunit with sub enclosure and hidden amp under false floor.

Cream suade headlining and pillars.

I also have some fully functioning euro stubby mirrors i can throw in if the price is right.

i know that there's more, but its late and I'm half asleep.

Bad points:

Few stone chips to the front end.

Location:

Exeter, Devon (down south)

Brown for the win everytime!

Bump for a beaut

thanks alot for the knid words guys!

i really am gonna miss it!!!

 may mate hammond likes a bit of brown...

and he's in the middle of selling his car so i'll pass this link on!

SHE'S A CORKER by the way mate!

i'm a little skeptical about the mileage too, i'd be frightened to take it long distances.

 cracking car all the same"!

bump for a beautiful car mate..wish i had 3400 to take it off you...cant you look at other insurance companies?? seems a shame to get rid!!!

as for high mileage and doing long distances...thats ridiculous..I've got 126000 on mine and regularily do long journeys..and i guarantee that this car is better looked after than mine

hahahah thanks sean! yeah your right to be skeptical as it would put me off some cars, but bear in mind this has had a full rebuild 26k ago.

and yes its well looked after...

serviced every 4k with fully syn!

and stil pulls hard everyday!

and just to point out i drive this as my daily and the only problem I've had is the gearbox, now with a rebuild and rally servos it really is good!

i was rolling with this car on the way to birmingham in the summer...think it was when skriv had it though!!! bumb for an awsome polo!

I'd love this car, smoothest looking polo on the forum.

I've checked and it's gonna cost me over 600 quid extra to change from my current car (1.4 8v) on the insurance =0

I'll definitely be coming to devon if its still available in a month or two though! (doubt it will be =[ )

cheers mate...

and you never know. lots and lots of pms but no majorly serious peeps as yet!

This is my old car!

Looked alot different when i had it before i sold it to Scriv!

The car was brand new when i bought it in August 1999.

Owned it till 2006 and put just over 100k miles on it, melted a piston at around 85k miles and was rebuilt with bigger pistons.

Good luck with the sale and i hope it goes to a good home!
