just had a new steering rack fitted coz mine was aparently broke and now when i go full lock on both ways it juders like somethings rubbing, anyone know what this could be?

tryed ringing the mechanic back but no answer:@

is your car lowered, could be the tyres catching on the arch, outer cv joints fooked or trhe driveshaft is catching on the bodywork.

could be that the new fluid hasnt made its way round the rack yet or the pulsating is due to low fluid. not sure on that one but id take it back to the garage get them to drive it with you in and find out exactly what the cause is

If you think the tyre is rubbing on the arch liner,

take one of the wheels off and you will see some lovely rub marks inside your arch!

All though the question is why has this problem only appeared after the rack was replaced.
