i know alot of people here have 2 cars. i.e for some the g40 is the weekend car etc. i looking into a scirocco aswell as my polo gt for a while then maybe switchin to the scirocco while i take the gt of the road for a g40 conversion hopefuly.

there any 21 yr olds or there about with 2 cars here? or everyone older and loaded?

thought id get a feel for how other people manage.

iv thought about this but then i decided against it

you will have 2 lots of tax , mots, insurance then the running costs and matenence on em both so it would have to be a special weekend car and a cheap daily for it to be worth it imo

I had three cars at one point this year, but not for long. When i was at uni i managed to run two cars fine, had my GT and the coupe but i did have the advantage of having a girlfriend to pay for one lot of insurance. I was 22 at the time i could have managed to pay both insurance policies as they were fairly cheap.

I could afford to have quite a few cars, as insurance is dirt cheap now and I'm still only 22. 3rd party insurance on the 740 BMW was around £120-150, bargin!

I am 21 and have 3 cars, Valver, GT and a rocco.

Just now the GT is the main car on insurance as its the cheapest to insure and if I want to drive the others i just take out temporary policies with my insurance company (elephant). The funny thing is its cheaper to insure a car on a temporary policy than a proper one.

When the valver had a years policy I was £88 a month with elephant. To insure it for a month on a temporary policy with elephant its £66 a month, I don't know why its like that but it is.

I'm 17 and I've just cut the fleet down to three.

glad to hear alot of people with other cars. i know its a bad time in the world at the mo, but i have money, i live at home so its cheap so why not spend my money on cars while I'm young and dont have to many comitments!..only thing that does take alot of money if my gf lol, who will flip if i get a rocco MWHAHA

I'd honestly recommend that people like us running older cars have at least 2 of them. Because most of us on here like modding our cars so it means you can mod one and run the other at the same time, meaning your modding can be done right and not rushed and your not without transport for work or whatever.

Here are the factors when choosing which car:

- How quick i want to get somewhere,

- Is it a Polo or Golf meet,

- Do i want to have fun

- Distance

etc etc

I'm only running two of mine on the road at the moment, as some are in bits and the g40 is garaged for the winter.

I'm 22, and have 8 cars.

Have on the road whatever one works at the time

am 35 got three cars

1. mk2 square (in need of tlc)

2.focus (wife's daily)

3.erm.. pug 306. ..cough..my daily...it was free

I've thought about having two cars, cutting down to 2 that is.

The best way I've found of doing this is either a toy and a daily. Don't get something exciting that you'll feel the need to mess about with for the daily, for me this is my Camry.

Winter and summer. Works well because you pay the same tax and having them both on the road (give or take 10% if you normally tax annually), and just swap your insurance midterm. Downside is that you can only drive one, but them it gives the other one dedicatted time off road to get stuff done on it. This is a common one among bikers, run the bike in the summer and a cheap snotter car when it's icey.

20: Sold the Punto and the 106 and now only have the Polo GTI due to my dad saying there was no room for all the cars when you can fit about 6 around the back and two at the front lol.

All cars were used as dailys.

Gran Insured them through the business apart from the Polo and the Punto where I used Admiral Multi Car.
