well if i'm going 2 put the boot lid on i have 2 put the light on as well so it all fits right.i might as well put the bumper from 1 on as well r moddify a 16v bumper cos yes you are right the plate does need 2 b light up at nite

So is the bumper from a 6n2 a straight fit aswell?

y do u say that lol??

all you need to do is look at a photo of each to see they are different by a long way!

and there not that much different u no and so what if it means i have 2 do a little moddifyin then so b it thats what this game is all about isn't lol 8-)

I wouldnt say 'a little modifying' equated to cutting away big parts of the 6N rear quarters! I've never done it, but i id say doing it would require a bit more than the odd piece of filing/hole drilling...

If you do it dont forget to post a thread of how you do it! :ninja:

WELL LOOKIN AT WHAT MICK SAID AND ALSO SPEEKIN 2 HIM ON ANOTHER FROUM ALL I HAVE 2 DO IS USE A BIT OFF FILLER UNDER THE BK LIGHTS 2 MAKE THEM SIT RIGHT AND IF I DO END UP going 4 IT I WILL PUT UP SOME PIC OF IT

hello, a 6N2 i know polos inside out. I garentee a 6N2 bumper on a 6N will not fit, the complete back end is different reinforcement bar, boot floor, qaurters etc It would take a bodyshop, chopping, welding up sheet metal, filling painting more besides dont want to get into detail i do this kind of work and mike looked at doing it before and we decided not to its a big job to get it line up properly to the bumper and quarters, your best of buying 2 6n2 quarters and backend. with out doing that you got no chance. The tailgate and rear lights fit straight on but they line up very poor. The reason why its called a 6N the 6N is the structual chassis the 6N'2' means facelift model things have been changed to the body structer you cant just go bolt stuff on, the front end can be done because there bolt on parts still needs modification, the backend is spot welded and requires skill. Think before you attempt and do research look up stuff i know were every nut and bolt is on a 6N2 i proberly know more than someone at VW. lol sad maybe but I've stripped it down so many times.
