all mk3 driveshafts arent the same, G40 ones are different, i think its the drivers side that is slightly longer or something...

thay still work my g40 turbo has drive shafts from a 1.0 on it with out eny problems

yeah they do work but they arent the same!

as far as i'm aware they have a different part number so arent exactly the same. But yes other people use normal driveshafts with no issues.

it's the CV joints that are different as far as I know. If you look on ETKA, they only list either a fully assembled shaft (with cv joints) or replacement cv joints on their own. And there are different part numbers for both for a g40. However, I've no idea what the actual difference is and I've never had issues using non-g40 specific shafts on mine.

thanks everyone for helpin me out I've managed to get hold of a g40 1 so all is good.
