IMO mk5s look better with the bumpstrips, the only things i'm smoothing on mine are the boot handle (keeping badge), and side repeaters.

I will post pics later.

They look a bit funny without the bump strips. The fronts especially.

sadly i agree now everybody is smoothing I'm againts it! lol

allthough i still love the look of my car but some cars look very od with out them! as for the smoothed left and right grills YUK!

i think smoothing can make or break the car there are somethings that should be donee and others that shouldnt.. what I'm getting at is some combonations look right others look shite...

I think it all depends on the car, for example on Tomo87's old car, smoothing totally worked, however others can't pull it off as well and really should've retained the bumpstrips instead, eg:

Don't really like any part of that TBH, the arches, door handles, mirrors and especially the gash bonnet extension are unpleasant IMO.

And as for the speedo polo, thought that was good for a laugh plus if you look the rear plate recess is a different shape to UK spec, although I am unsure if this is custom or not, guessin it is, however might be japanese spec (I don't even know if they got the 6N2 though).

larger rims look so much better on these and mk4's for that matter.

This car helped me decide to buy a 6N2, but in hindsight isn't exactly to my liking. The bumper is far too smooth...
