1987 Mk2 Golf 4 Door 33k

Featured Replies

bought this car a few weeks ago, with your typical all good intentions, lowering, wheels etc but times are hard and i really could do with the money at the moment

1987 vw golf mk2 1.6 cl 4 door in polar silver

33826 miles, old mots and service to back this up

no tax or mot, currently sorn

no rot!!

been through a pre mot check and i have the bits it would likley need to pass with flying colours.

all the bits i have just splashed out over £150 on are included in the sale (not fitted), these being

front disks (vented ones instead of the solids that are on it)

front pads

oil filter

air filter

fuel filter

distributor cap

rotor arm

timing belt kit

camshaft oil seal

spark plugs

the camshaft oil seal that is on there is leaking, hence the new one, easily changable while doing the timing belt.

it will also need the ignition barell looking at as to start it you have to turn the ignition on, and then press a switch to start the car, starts first time no problems. also the washer switch has been wired to a switch, not got round to finding out why.

new info

its being motd in the new year, its just had the new cam belt kit, distributor cap, rotor arm, plugs, air filter, oil filter, cam oil seal, oil, had the cam belt cover and rocker cover stripped and painted satin black, also fitted a gti camshaft, new front disks and pads. its having the ignition switch and wiper arm sorted next week.

so now its had all that done and it will have a fresh ticket on it, result!

I'm after a mk3 golf again because i loved my last one to much.

cracking project for someone, old school vibe to the max.

will be ready mid january if anyone is interested, or if you want it as is then a lower price can be negotiated

now £800 ono

PM'D!!!!!
