Studie R

Featured Replies

The hottest Scirocco ever has just blown in! Volkswagen wowed visitors to the Bologna Motor Show with this striking concept car, called the Studie R.

Previewing a new performance flagship, it's really a roadgoing version of the GT24 racer and is likely to be badged R20T when it goes on sale in 2010. As we revealed in our R20T story recently, the Studie R concept car has a high performance 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 262bhp. The unit is a development of the same powerplant in Audi's S3.

Boasting an agressive bodykit with a deep front splitter, bold 19-inch alloy wheels and a vast rear wing, it certainly looks the part – and this concept also features red and green detailing on its white paintwork, in a nod to the motor show’s host nation.

The Studie R also gets twin exhaust pipes, four-piston brake callipers and a sport suspension set-up while inside are black and white Nappa leather Recaro seats along with some carbonfibre trim.

Ah,the Chav Power version.

Looks good, but would be better without the graphics and coloured mirrors.

IMO the new 'rocco is how new VWs should be...

Only thing i dont like is the italian colours...

nice and white would do tbh

WOW

Not really a fan of the new roccos so doesn't appeal to me, bet it's a bit quick though!

What site did you get the article from?

That's alright, engine sounds good but I don't think the wheels suit it.

I preferred the real Nurburgring 24 hour version:
