Polo 6n2 Headlights *new*

Featured Replies

Bought these a couple of months ago with the intention of splitting and smoking the insides, but not going to now. Brand new, never been near a car and boxed etc.

depends on how much work you want to do and if you have working internals for gti headlights. if its only the outer casing thats broken then yes you can as the mountings are the same inside and out. the front lense is the same as is the rear casing bar the xenon pack mounts and hole(for the xenon power). you only need to use the original gti rear cover and retro fit where the charge pack goes. and the chrome trim on the inside is different. so basically repairs yes. retro fit no.

So it can be done then all that is broken on mine is the casing?

yup shouldn't be too bad. as long as the casing doesn't break on the new one when it comes apart. you gotta ramamber though you'll need the rear cover and the xenon pack may not have anywhere to mount on to so some bodging may be required. i should say that all this is based on the donor headlights being original vw parts. i cant say if patent bits will be the same. its unlikely but not impossible
