So after PSI open day in september i decided to take my car off the road for a few weeks, basically i entered the show and shine competition very hopefully but as i was reversing into a space i didn't quite see the little 2 foot wall that started on nearside of my car and i reversed into it not a great start as i pulled a load of paint of my bumper but somehow still managed to grab a little trophy which made my day.

right anyway now the polo looks like this and this is hows its been since september;

While its been of the road i have spilt the schmidts to make them from an 8j at the back to a 9j and so i could refurb the centres. I struggled what to do with the centres but after much deliberation i decided to get them powdercoated in a non mettalic silver/grey with a matt laquer as i didn't want them siny as i though it may contrast with the dishes too much and i fancied doing something a little different, pics of the centres;

i think the pictures don't do them justice in real life they look much better imo

I then ordered some new wider inner rims so the new inners are 7" (6.5" bowl width) wide from image wheels who custom made them for me so they have my nam engraved on them heres some pics;

I'm also getting the rear bumper resprayed and having the towing eye recess plastic welded up! I'm hopefully picking this up tuesday morning! so il get some pics up.

Other plans include;

front bumper smoothed

projectors and HID kit

Little project sorting some different rear lights not 6n2 or 16v

and generally tidying up a few things and a service

I am currently busting about in this mondeo i picked up for virtually nothing, it is the slowest ar ever but does the job really well, it can't even reach 85mph or so o have been told

I am rebuilding the wheels on tuesay the biggest mission is getting all the old sealant of the rims! I will get some progress pics of them up asap

little update, put the wheels back together and sealed them, just waiting for the sealant to dry for 24hours and then getting tyres fitted tommorow night, heres some pics;

nankangs are a winner! its a bit of a shitter getting them on if i were to do it again i'd get one side seated first and leave the tyre soap to dry over night before trying to stretch them because the tyre kept popping off the bead when we stretched it with mine. schmidts look proper chuffing class how you've had them done, should come standard like that! gonna be one seriously rude polo next year!

i didn't update as promised, so i have now fitted the tyres pics below:

i also fitted the wheels to the car this morning, then took some pics, i did then detail the car after i took the pics and by the time i had finshed it was too dark to get some final pics, i have now applied HD wax which i was very impressed with il get some pics with dad's SLR tommorow,
