I dont understand this resin seal malarkey. The weld has been dressed in a sealant? If it was a good enough weld,it wouldn't have to be.

Id suggest getting the weld's skimmed and a proper weld,like 6-8mm wide,being layed into it.

my machine-welded steels came with instructions to seal them protects the weld from moisture and stops slow punctures form any porus section/poor join.
