6n2 Wheel Fitment

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am looking for a new set of wheels for the car. It's a 01 6n2 Polo. I have a set of kosei 16" ones on now fitting fine. I don't really want to go bigger but I've seen a nice set for a good price I like. They are 17", 7.5" wide, et 45, pcd 4x 100.

Will these fit?

If not, what roughly will?

Thanks for all your help, I'm not totally up on this.

Cheers, lisa.

17's are big mate. Of course it can be done, but it might be difficult. Not too sure how good it will look either...

that's what i was thinking. it isnt lowered or anything and it might look ridiculously stupid.

dont want to have to go to the effort of rolling arches or the like.

cheers for the reply.

dont get 17's it will look stupid! go for 16's !!

See HERE and you will see my 2001 6N2 with 17s.. It Works! ;) But you must use 185/35-17 tyres! and you must need spacers! I have 7x17 ET35, and they scratched the paint of the springs in front.. but 7,5 may be too wide, to awoid scrubbing :)

the car looks great, Stambo, thanks for the reply too!

I'm tempted now looking at yours but mines not dropped, totally standard so it could look a bit wrong. do you think they would be too wide? what spacers would i need to correct it?

What are the 17's by the way? Got some pictures?

I'm looking now for pictures.

they're Rota Slipstreams.

17s are abit big but they have been pulled of, need some proper low pro tyres though

i'd love to have low pro tyres with the car proper slammed but just dont got the dough right now!

et 45 is also quite high, it may scrub on the inside arch, prob need spacers, but then you will need to get archwork done as 7.5 will sit outside the standerd arch

so they're not gona work regardless? they wont just sit on the way it stands now?

here's the snaps

tell me what yous think!!

Ah, sorry. In that case I think you should either save your money and buy something more suited in the new year, or spend your £190 on something else.

or spend your £190 on something else.

like a cheap set of coilovers :D

surely there's no point in buying a cheap set....

I've decided against the wheels, looking for a smaller set.

cheers for all the replies.
