What Cars Have The Pd110-130hp Engines...

Featured Replies

Reason I'm asking is that I'm looking about on parkers for cars to get when I'm 21 and a 110bhp (99-02) Ibiza tdi sport is Insurance group 9.

And also the Fabia Vrs 130bhp is also insurance group 9. So +20hp for nothing essentially?

But what other cars use this engine i know mk5 polos had a 1.4 pd tdi. Also i think the mk4 golfs have the pd130.

Basicly i want a car with this engine and power so what manufacturer is the best/cheapest to get insured on.

I'm swaying for the old Skoda Lhabia at the moment.

boras seem to be alot cheaper than the golfs

and the fabia's are also alot cheaper than the golfs but id go witht he seat ibiza tdi i think they look the best and are smaller than the rest so would be a bit nippyer

don't just assume the same insurance group means the same insurance price, unfortunately it's not that simple. Only way to find out is to get online quotes or phone for quotes.

the 9n gt is a pd 110 iirc?

The 9N GT model has the PD130 powerplant ;)

My 2002 Mk4 Golf GT TDi (130PD) was a group 12 iirc, cost a small fortune to insure too.....that was a few years ago now though when the car was nearly new though.........cracking car though!!

my 2003 mk4 golf gttdi 130 costs £1750 a year to insure fully comp with 3 points for speeding and i'm bloody 27 years old but if i was a named driver it would cost £450 a year its a p*ss take

i had the fab vrs I'm 19 no, no claimes drving less than a year and it cost me £1000 fully comp for the year!!!

^^^ agreed

I'm selling my valvr to replace it with a ibiza 130tdi.

amazing engines!

the ibiza is a grp8. 1k for the year at 19 no ncb or anything.

sure is shit loads faster than my polo and the torque is awsome!

the vrs's have a variable vane turbo, so feel quicker due to less turbo lag. The Ibizas dont IIRC.

The first version/mk1 Seat Leon can come wi a 1.9 PD TDi, based on a mk4 Golf, but imo looks sooooooo much better and weirdly drives better too, strange considering under-pinnings are identical...can get it as a 150bhp PD TDI too (FR if i remember)!!! :-p
