Hi I've recently brought a new project and thought i would start a progress thread.

I have cleaned it since but it's to dark for pics now so i'll get some up tomorrow. All the car needs is a bit of tidying. it's got front and rear gti arb's ,gti breaks, MGF stearing wheel with rover centre and a gti short ratio gearbox bolted to a 1.4 8v mpi engine it's the fastest thing I've drove :-D and two front Cobra seats there are probebly things I've forgot.

So here you go.

Like i said these are pics before the car was tidyed up. Any comments welcomed oh and sorry about all the spelling mistakes lol.

Yes you can ask why its going to be used daily it's great fun it doesnt weigh much about 600kg i think and it handels like a gokart and shocks people off the lights. i love it.

if you can find a front damagwed early mgf and standard rover gearbox they can be had for peanuts

I should be sealing the exhaust and sorting brake pads out tomorrow. And then hopefully its ready for the M.O.T. :-D

Oh and i forgot to say the side skirt is sorted and looking good :-D

M.O.T. tomorrow so it shouldent be long before it's on the road :-D

And it's passed so the updates should be flooding i soon.

My plans are n no perticular order:

1) Tidy up the arches

2) 160bhp or 143bhp not sure yet 1.8 VVC

3) fit my rear ARB

4) lower it a bit more

5) 1.5D radiator

6) take the cat back off now it's M.O.T.d

7) maybe take the rear seats out?? if not fit my rear GTa seatbelts

I think that is about it for the min.

Bit of an update it was for sale but I've decided to keep it and it wont be having a VVC in it just yet i'm going to climb my way up the engine ladder lol. First or i'll prob end up hurting myself so atm i'm looking for a 1.6 16v 120bhp which are about £100-150 so i'm saving up atm. And its such an easy conversion because I've only got to move 1 engine mount so the conversion should take 3 hours at the most.

I've also striped it out a bit but i'm going to do the full lot at the weekend.

Here is a few pics i'll get some better ones at the weekend. Let me know what you think good or bad :-)

Well mine is like a gocart because its got MGF suspension on the front and metro gti rear suspension it's also been individualised with gti ARB's. But saying that my mates metro dont handle too bad and thats standard. And if you get the right engine in them there isn't much that can keep up. Mines only a 1.4 8v atm and that doesent hang about.

I hope that has answered your question even if it was a bit long winded.
