Its been a while since my first GT got written off, and I've now sold the ABDGT and bought a Corrado. I kept a few bits and pieces just in case, but I don't have any use for them. I don't want owt for any of this stuff, just that you come and collect it! I'm based in Derby, postcode DE56.

The parts are:

1 x RH door, metallic black (LA9V), complete with glass, doorcards, interior adjustable mirror, door handle

1 x LH door, metallic black (LA9V), complete with glass, doorcards, interior adjustable mirror, door handle

1 x steering column, complete with ignition barrel and key, the key is the same as the door handles above (also got boot lock to match)

1 x grey, uncut Mk3 Coupe parcel shelf

L + R rear side windows, mk2/3, unetched, complete with seals. Non-tinted

1 x CL rear beam with drums, backplates etc

4 x 13x4.5" steel wheels, complete with legal tyres (145/80R13).

1 x AAU (1043cc) short engine, with starter. Running fine when removed.

1 x 4-speed gearbox, complete. No whines or rattles.

1 x mk3 uncut front bumper

Ok, postcode is DE56 2JQ, Derbyshire.

The engine has done around 80k, and please bear in mind it is only a short engine, no cylinder head (therefore no throttle body etc). Just block and sump. Its all in perfect condition though. It did have FSH but that went with the car that I transplanted the ABD lump into.

All to be collected please.

Wheels and starter have now gone, parcel shelf and beam are spoken for. That just leaves:

Engine still has flywheel and clutch too btw as the gearbox is still bolted to the block.

I'm not going to have that gearbox mate, it's a 5 hour round trip for me, sorry.

The rest of the stuff is going to the tip tomorrow morning. Thats the engine, gearbox etc. I've just split the engine and box and there's a roughly half worn genuine VW clutch in there if anyone's interested in a free clutch? No signs of overheating or scoring....

Other than that its all off to the tip...

Just tried to convince my dad the gearbox and clutch would be nice in the back yard! but he weren't having it! tis a shame, I wouldn't mind spares.

No worries, shame that I have to scrap a perfectly good bottom end and gearbox - can't give stuff away nowadays!

You can guarantee that in about a weeks time there'll be a wanted ad on here for a 4 speed gearbox because someone has just blown theirs up.

That will be me lol! always my luck, it is a shame really.

Tom, the clutch is it the same size as a GT one? Carn't remember if they are different or not.

I might have the box off you as a spare, things always brake when i have no money lol.

I'm not sure - its 190mm in diameter so I think it will be the same...

If you want the box then let me know asap, its all in the pile to be scrapped tomorrow!

ok mate ill defo have that clutch but ill leave the box for now due to no space :(
