2001 Y - REG 1.9 TDI POLO ESTATE.

This car cost £16,000 new, which was more thaN 3 door stock Polo GTI.

I spent months looking for this car as i have always driven polos (14 to date) and wanted a polo estate as opposed to a golf.

Only £120 tax due to low emissions.

Rare 110 BHP, run out model, most estates were 1.6 petrol or 1.9 SDI, there were 2 TDI engines the common 90bhp and the later run out 110bhp that was fitted for a 12 months period only. Only seen one other for sale.

Usual Se spec to include alloys, fog lamps, central locking, upgraded tape player, electric windows, central locking and elctric sunroof, twin airbags and pas.

Car also came with the following options, Air conditioning (rare), roof bars and runners (bars never used), load cover, metallic sunkist (red) paint, mudflaps, dog guard (never used) headlamp protectors (very useful) and 2 sets of mats.

12 months tax, 7 months mot, next service due at 86k.

Full comprehensive service histroy, VW until 30k and then vw polo specialist (40 miles roundtrip!!!). All bills and mots.

Serviced at 8k, 16k, 22k, 30k, 33k, 38k, 47k, 57k, 66k, 76k.

Cambelt, water pump changed at 70k at a cost of £600.

Recent new mass air flow meter.

Recent new window regulator £200 fitted.

Bad points:

Crack on front bumper caused by someone reversing too close with a tow bar, i have covered this up with GB sticker!!

Scuff on rear arch (caught a branch)

Cars pulls very well and has never missed a beat, owned for over 3years, reason for sale, imminent new arrival (overdue) means more space so a Sharan has been purchased, cannot fit 3 car seats in the estate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, therefore i have decided to get a smaller polo or lupo (tdi) as can no longer justify to big cars.

Now had chance to take some pictures, forgot to mention that all late estate models were fitted with mk5 dash so has blue lights etc.

Also car achieves 50mpg+.
