cheers lads...! forgot to mention... also got sorted witha vernier pulley..

Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong or help with ideas, this is the spec I am hoping to build the engine to...Dont think I wanna change the bottom end as carbs are jetted for the 1.3 as it stands

It will be rebuilt anyway,

Ported and polished head,

3 angle valve seats

Schrick cam (In the process of finalising duration),

Possibly matching uprated valve springs if required,

Vernier pulley to get it all set up right

Lightened flywheel

Bogg bros inlet manifold

The GSXR carbs

4 branch manifold

Oil cooler to keep things under control

Possibly a local built custom aluminium rad too

Exhaust of some sort... completly unsure at the min, possibly side exit. LOL..

Anyone wanna shed a light on what duration camshaft to go for? Do I need valve springs or?

i lived in ireland for a bit, never saw any nice classics vw whilst i was there!! yours are class mate, good craic ;)

ah you just didnt look hard enough mate... There actually hidden all over the place... Irish VW community is getting so much bigger.

I really really love this

Looking good mate ..

How easily did the subframe fit in place ?

Loving the suspension set up ..

Mine will be like that in time to come just too much cash :(

In regards to 8J Alleycats .. I dont think you will ahve much luck unless you definatly fit the brg cup arches ..

was concerned about the fit of the subframe incase it had been tipped al all before but its actually grand... front bolts up fine and the rear mounts do slide over the track control arm joints pretty well. On one side the bolt will go through and on the other it'll just need a few mionutes with the drill to open out the hole a tad... Nothing too major...

I know I was just blessed that the suspensiopn setup came in shell when I got it all for free.. LOL. Happy days.

ah dont worry the arhces will be well sorted.. tried the ones on the mk3 above 13x8j et 20 with 175/50 tyres and they actually sat well. Rears would be no problem as is, fronts sat out a tad, nothing too major... so will be going wider..

i love the corrado, looks super nice. and the bready, loved it from the beginging

Ah i see you have some vw fitmant Alleycats

I thaught you were talking about the minifitmant ones with a ET-7

My arches are undergoing extreme work to try and fit 8's on the back of mine ..

I have 7's all around at the min ..

I look forward to seeing this progress 8-)

cheers for all the comments folks... just cant wait for the summer... I'm off (being a teacher and will be properly able to crack on with it... My deadline has been edition38 since I've started... Always wanted to go to that show and for some reason of not i always cant, like my college graduation last year etc.... Few friends an I are making the trip... should be a nightmare in this yok. LOL

@Stealth - I dont have alleycats yet at all.. its the idea in my head at the minute... I think 8J et -7 would prob be about right with the berg arches... LOL

@Jack black... I dunno got it second hand off a lad on polo3.co.uk when I was getting the engine, think it may be 12 gallon... None of them seem to be done by the litre.. Not sure about it, id love one half as high, as its a tad too big in the car... Wont be going in till I'm sure...

Ill keep yas all updated..

Cheers
