It started out like Blue...

I put some cream leathers in, and thought wicked... Cream and blue.. and deck it... Then DjSimmy pissed over that idea.. So I had to have a rethink... I wanted a unique car that I had done myself.... Blue Mk5's were getting more common...

So I thought fuck it!

And here's the result... I call it cookies and creams:

Still needs the cream roof and cream wing mirrors doing

Enjoy ;)

dude that looks sick

proper loving the 2 colours together :-D

Why did you leave the door mirrors and side indercators on while spraying?

that was my point exactly, the edges will not be properly keyed.... Fair do's for attempting it yourself, but prep work is really important here and it appears like you haven't bothered.

I have bothered, and I am a complete novice, and gave it a go, and it came out well

granted a few bits were not taken off, but a good few hours were spent on prep.. So I can assure you it will last! worst case senario is... sand down and spray.. It was fun, I learnt a lot...

I didn't know how to take the indicators or mirrors off... So I didn't..

But once i know.. I can take them off, key it, prime it, and paint it.. I dont really see a problem...

I put a hell of a lot of effort into it, 2 days infact...

When you spray a full car yourself without one mistake panda.. give me a shout, until then.. stop acting like you know everything..

I don't know everything, and gave it my best shot...

Now go bother someone that cares.... :p

why? blue looks way better :S

Maybe if you took some people's advice, you'd get alot further.

Indicators come out by sliding forwards in the holes and pulling out over, sometimes need the help of a credit card to tease them out.

Mirrors come off with 3 bolts iirc.

I've not painted a car before, but i've watched my mate who does it for a living and even gave him a hand here and there with some of the work stripping down and prepping.

Thanks, I can now get those indicators out, found how to do the mirrors and they are now done.. See wasn't hard was it Panda... instead of OMFG and thinking i've done a shit job, you now been constructive... A*

Ps I've watched someone change an engine out, and given them a bolt, doesn't make me an expert :p
