Hi, I'm messaging on behalf of a friend who just got the cleanest looking mk4 i've seen, only 12000 miles on th clock.

Unfortunatly there are a few little porblems with it. It is a 3 door 1.4 cl with electric windows, and central locking.

The two main problems are its not water tight, the passenger door doesnt line up and shut properly.

The other problem is the lock on the drivers door doesnt work anymore, it has been stiff since he had it and now it just doesnt lock.

Has anyone experianced these problem or know how to fix them?

Re the driver's door lock - get the door card off and have a look inside. Maybe something's come off or got jammed.

As for the door, that doesn't sound very good. Does it hang at an angle, or is it too far forward/back?

try tightening the door straps. might pull it back into place. make sure all the bolts are tight on the hinge. also the metal pin in the door shut, make sure that the door lock hits it making sure that is secure. that might be offset a bit causing the door not to shut properly
