Dont get me wrong first two weeks of owning the car must of put 1500miles on it. I get bored very quickly so i like to savour the moment. I would like to think in 5 years time it will be one of the lowest mileage 996 turbos in the country that really helps on the value front. 911 Turbo have always been a great collecters car. Its not a car that i would enjoy driving every day heavy clutch. It really would not be practical to use every day as i need a van for work. I like a bit of luxury nice auto old before my time. The Porsche is for when i want to take my slippers off.

i totaly agree with this

espeacially about savouring the moment

theres nothing more annoying than seeing a knob in a suit driving round in these who blatently use it to commute but wanted a flash car, & just let them get filthy & shitty

your doing the right thing i recon :)

Cheers Mate some1 on the level as me

Gotta be asked, what do you do for a living?! (Don't mean to be nosey...maybe..!) (And feel free not to answer, lol)!

I'm a floor layer in the shop fitting game. Never home lots working away i live out of a suit case "Just like a pop star on tour" Not a good job really dont get to spend much time with the misses then she gets the hump because i want to meet up with my mates.

Yeh I like minamal i think toyota had the best recipe its perfect wouldn't change a thing. Are you thinking on buying one? If i had a double garage i would love another one i couldn't let a Supra get wet or shat on by the birds.

i know. yeha i am in july but cant afford a TT one just a N/A insurance (will be 19) but i know you can get a TT for N/A price which i the bitch really. yeah these are my dream cars and i would have one over anything offered to me  I'm fanatical about these ask my GF  I've researched since i was like 9 years old  and I'm still amazed by them. i know toyota do the best stuff for it bar performance wise ( i like HKS and blitz) like the veilside kits look shite

My first supra was a 95 n/a manual i had 160 out of it it wasn't slow at getting there either in fact there wasn't much in it with my turbo when it was standard it was auto, I got stick for buying a grandad auto. Having the choice manual or auto now i would have another auto its better at the pod and dont miss a gear it really dont matter when your running that sort of power. If you do buy N/A dont start thinking of bolting a turbo to it that is a very costly way to do it. What am i talking about go and buy the turbo i was about your age insure a 1980 fiesta 1.0 fully comp with norwich union and you can drive a car not belonging to you after all the Supra is your dads or better still your grandads. Your grandad still needs insurance for it about £900 buy the time you pay £400 for your fiesta insurance it would be no more expencive than a twin turbo in your own name thats how i done it.

I had all the hks parts and blitz bitz on mine with 6pot ap racing brakes i upgraded the turbos to twin hks hybrids. Nothing but the best for that girl 8-)

i wouldnt mess a n/a with a turbo lol thas what the na is there for lol TORQUE! i would go single after enjoying twin though :D bit confused on insurance bit though  i know only the best will do lol I'm even like i on my polo ffs  i have to have a supra in my life fuck skylines  supra will kill them in every dpartment :D

BUSTED

LMFAO  whos sleeping in the porka tonight then?:-p

got to say nice porsche turbo , dont they sound awsome . my dads got a black GT3 series 1 but with the polished cage cage , paint colour coded centre consol and seat backs and many more bits that you dont get standard . it is fast , but his race car saph cossie would kick its ass round a track and 0-60 . he only gets the porsche out on special occasions , i think last year it did about 600 miles , one reason is he say`s you just cant use it as it should be on the road ! reson two to keep it nice , reason three too many points ,:smirk: . you cary on treating it right fella

oh yes most of the 600 miles are normally having it

You know that. Took it out last night in a supermarket car park i think i my of been watching a bit to much tokyo drift. Its never as easy as they make look on TV I had some lovely tail out action great fun.

My mates dads gt one and my mates driven it ( not allowed any more LOL) . when he was lloking for one he drve a 996 with ceramics and said they are rubbish til hot and he nearly crashed cause of them. he said the ceramics would only be worthwhile if you were tracking the car !!!

I want a supra , insurance is resonable considering I'm 20 with two years no claim ( only 1600 :D) not to far out my price range in the near future. but i think 1.6 polo -> 3.0 twin turbo supra , would be a stupid step in the power and size ladder !!! Let alone the Fuel costs .

Good choice. I would suggest you get some experince in a rear wheel drive if you havn't already, although the traction control on them is very good that would save you. Its a perfectly safe car so long as you keep the traction on as clarkson says its the buuton of death. As far as the fuel econ goes there really not bad yeh if its auto round town it will drink a bit but on the open road i think you could get easy 28mpg.

As for your info on the Porsche brakes i will take that on board after all they where designed for the track I'm never putting mine on the track.

I looked into how much the ceramic brake kit from the states it was $18,000 whats that about £9000 I think i might cross them off the shopping list.

yeh well we shall see, got to save the pennies first !!

i think you should test drive one with ceramics on then you'll see. i think they are more braggy thing then anything else !!!
