lol yea thats the plan

flathead screwdriver into the slot and wiggle it! Very pikey but it works........infact i brought a mk3 that someone had done that to the petrol cap!

yea the screwdriver idea worked well, thanks guys

nice one :)

locking petrol caps are ANNOYING.

locking petrol caps are ANNOYING.

Especially when you only have 1 key - and you lose it! Having it locked saves the scum of society adding the wrong things to your fuel tank!

dont get none o that round 'eeeeereee.

partnumber for a new VAG one anyone?

i forgot to add 'or take away' ! Been known for peoples tanks to be sucked dry by mindless idiots who decide to be the curse of society.

i can never seem to get my syphening hose into a mk3 tank?

thought they had an anti-syphen bar?

when i changed the fuel tank, had to pour what was left outa the hole for the pump!

Go to a local VW meet, iirc there are only about 8 different keys to open the flap on one of these.

If you go to a meet, ask to borrow people's keys from MK2's /MK3's by default you will find one that will open your fuel cap.

Will save you making a mess of you filler neck potentially.

already opened it fella, just stuck a screwdriver in it, cheers anyways

they do have an anti-syphon iirc. to empty the tank, its easier to run the power wires for the pumps to a 12v supply and disconnect the pipe which runs to the engine. power on and viola.

people still try to take fuel out of other peoples cars. just dont realise that it aint always possible!
