Stage 5 G40 Charger

Featured Replies

i have this g40 charger which i got in the summer, and then never really got round to fitting. after being sat under my bed pretty much since i got it, i have decided i'm not gonna go for extreme power on my car, and hence my reason for selling.

it has new seals, and has been heavily ported, removing two of the fins, upto "stage 5". it was done by a german company, for the guy that i purchsed it from, who is also on this forum. i have been assured of the work and have no reason to doubt it as it is really clean, with new seals fitted, plus the extreme porting.

when i purchased it, i knew it needed a new scroll. and it still does as well as a belt, some o rings, and an oil slinger

it would be great to see this fitted to a g, cos it does look pretty cool, and would make a nice touch to the engine!

grab yourselves a bargain, £200.

considering that is what i paid for it, and that refurbed chargers with porting are nearer £500, i dont think i can really take any offers too far from that.

i can post, recorded delivery via courier for an additional £10. i will pack the charger so as it arrives in the excellent conditon it is in now.

alternatively, i am planning on heading to the rolling road day, and will take it there is anyone is interested.

here are the pics, if you want to know more, please ask

john

do you no if this has been rebilt ?

it was serviced, had the porting done, and then had new bearings and seals put in, cleaned up and reraedy to be put together with the other bits, so it has to that extent. still needs the scroll etc to be complete. thats why i am only asking £200 for it.

give me a buzz if you need more info.

cheers, john

due to all the recent hype about scammers on the classified sections, just wanted to give a little security to any potential buyers that this is genuine, i have a good ebay rating too, 100% feedback, so have faith, i will produce the goods!

hi

yeah it does need the scroll as mentioned, and an oil slinger, this is what i found out from my research. I'm trying to give as much info as i can about it.

its been refurbed, had new bearings fitted, with new seals, and requires these extra parts to finish the job and be usable.

give me a buzz, 07891166919 if you wanna talk about it.

i can put more pics up if that would help too...?

new pics would do me the favour..

djtezlawson@hotmail.co.uk

if you wanna send them or just post on here

I'm interested just slightly scared to possibly ruin it if i cant put it together.. although i would try.

how much you reckon the extra parts like scroll and oil slinger would cost and are they easlily sourced.?

You could probably get the parts off eBay.de or maybe if you rang jabba or G-werks, they maybe able to help.

If I wasn't going eaton, I'd have snapped this up. Good luck with selling it :-)

yeah i had a look on german ebay, but always missed the bloody auctions when they came to end. student bar, cheap drinks, too much temptation! the bits are there!

jabba or G-werks as jon said would prob be very good at helping out in sourcing spares, as they specialise in these superchargers.

to be honest, i would say an extra £100 for the parts. thats about on average of the total of the auctions i kept missing out on. prob an extra £100 well spent to get this beaut up and running!

i have pm'd the previous owner (at least i think i remembered his username correctly!) to try get more info on it. will update as soon as i hear back.... if i got his username right from memory that is!

i took a load of extra pics. close ups of bearings and seals, and general condition of the charger, which is imaculate. if anyone wants a specific shot, let me know!

PLEASE NOTE THAT IS NEW GREASE THAT CAN BE SEEN ON THIS SEAL. IT HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY DISTUBRED FROM ME OPENING THE CHARGER UP AND PUTTING BACK TOGETHER FOR PHOTOS ETC.... may just want a touch up when being fitted.
