I recently bought an alpine sub and amp off a friend to put in my Polo 6n. I'm an ammeture when it comes to installing things like this and i was wondering if there is a premade hole where i can run the powercable through to above the footwell or somewhere where i can continue to take the wire to the back of the car.

I will obivsouly also being running rca cales from the headunit down the oppeosite side of the powercables and i was wondering how easy it is to pick up the cable to follow down the car. I'm a bit worried I'm not going to b able to reach or get the cable to come out above th footwell or whereever it comes from!!

Any installation help and tips asap would be great as I'm eager to get the sound system sounding tip top asap! :-D

theres a gromit behind the glovebox iirc. You may need to remove the glovebox to get at it though.

no need to take glovebox out mate theres a carpet undernieth it pull the carpet down and look to the back and theres a hold just big enough to fit the power cable through there was in mine.

also the cables from your head unit can be tucked under the glovebox and run down the plastic trim that runs down the outside of the seat thn lift the back seat up thread the cables through and put the seat bk down and you waint see them

When i did it i removed passenger footwell carpet came in though the hole mentioned then ran it down the door trim then behind the rear door card (pool cue helped for this)

Remember to put an in line fuse in too. I put mine under the carpet near where it enters the car. The closer to the battery the better.

Where is this hole?!! I just had a look and i cant see any ?! Am i being stupid or what? i pulled back the carpet at passenger footwell and there arnt any holes i can see? any spoon feed me and tell me where exactly?

Have a feel around with your hand mate, I think you feel the indent of the whole before you see it.

When we did it in our polo we took the glovebox off..but there is no need, its just extra hassle!

Also dude..once we got the glovebox off, it never went back on properly!

Pull the carpet down, stick a torch in the footwell and cop a good feel..

Dont run it off the battery, there is a possitive feed under the fusebox.

Remove fuse box cover, then remove the guard thats under the fuse box and you will see a white box. There are three live connections on there, test them and connect your amp power wire to one of the live terminals.

I ran a large install like this and i had no problems atall.
