i had 185,60,14 on and they were huge:-o

i have looked at 155/55/14 but they look rather stupid imo.

is there a 165 tyre or 175?

after a tiny stetch.

155/55's are realistically the only useable 14x6 stretch tyre i'm afraid... There are 165/60 14's and 165/55's though, but the 55's are more expensive, Other than that there's 175/50 but none of these offer anything in the region of stretch, sorry I couldn't be more help bud

(off topic I know but i'm about to buy a set of 165/60 14 Kumho KH17's myself, really good tyre in a very cheap size)

I would personally get a 195/45 or 185 50/50 so you have as much rubber on the road as possible.

But it will still look pimping because of the lowish profile.

I got some 185/50's on my 6 x 14 steels and they look alright, not too tall and the gearing is pretty my alright.

true but good tyres are worth splashing out for. id rock 185/50s with 14x6s, love yoko a539s and toyo proxes, dont sure if you can get eagle f1s but i well rated them on my 15s, 195/45/15 on a 7j rim, had 185/50/14 yokos on my old g40 on a 6j rim

165/55s fit a 6j rim perfectly, they will not be stretched, the walls will be straight. you dont need massively wide tyres for a good handling polo. 165 is all i use on my g40 and i have no issues with grip
