You can buy a removeable film from lamin-x.co.uk that just sticks on.

Also some people buy yellow model paint from art and craft stores and just paint it on. Make sure the paint isnt water based though.

edit; yellow headlights arent illegal in the UK any other colour is though

Yellow headlights ARE now illegal in the UK as of a month or more ago? So I've heard it's only ACTUAL import cars that come with them as standard that can run them.

get to your local habbidashery and buy some glass paint, brush it on nice and smoothly, job done

whered you get that piece of information from DubDanny

well i use lamin-x film and got stopped the other week and he questioned my yellow lights and when he checked they ARE LEGAL

yellow and clear have always been legal. best way is 2 split you lights by heatin them up.. paint the inside then re-seal. ;) if u like to have the choice then get some headlight protectors n paint them. paint the inside 2 stop the paint chipping or use film.

hope this helps..

i think I'm guna either use glass paint or use film cheers for this i hope they r legal :)

Ahh right, heard it off a mate as afore mentioned, it seemed correct at the time, just heard that they banned the yellow tints on headlights for cars which weren't actually imports and have the yellow tints as standard.

However, I guess I'm wrong, although, I can imagine a fair majority of people that run them on non-import cars will get police attention.

as long as you dont show a yellow light i,e yellow bulbs then you should be fine as with painted lenses the light is only slightly tinted

I ran a jetta and a mk4 polo like this for about a year

Hello lads,

All forward facing lights should produce a White or Yellow light. Edit: In the UK. :-)
