I'm selling my silver GT. I bought the car last summer and have done quite a few jobs since to get her running right. I've now got first refusal on a mate's car that I've wanted for ages.

Here's the spec:-

1991 J reg

Silver

Grey cloth interior that I have cleaned completely, the seats are like new.

The mileage is 178k on the clock but the engine was replaced before I got the car, unfortunately the only proof of this is that it drives well and uses no oil.

The bodywork is very good with almost no rust. The only area that requires attention (as with so many Polos) is the battery tray.

The car started first cough of the starter after 3 weeks break from duties over Christmas. It drives well, pulls cleanly from tickover and revs freely.

Tax is till 06 09, MOT 10 09.

I've done a complete service with the following:-

-oil & filter

-dizzy cap, rotor arm, new leads

-correct GT dizzy

-air filter

-coolant change and new thermostat

-new lambda sensor

-replacement ISV and pipe work (no leaks)

I've modified the car slightly with the following:-

-14" mk.3 Golf steels with 195/45R14 Uniroyals (as new)

-FK -40mm springs, OE springs available

-New top mounts were also fitted

-Black VW badges and rear name badge

I'm thinking £795 ono as it is. There's lots of tax & MOT on it so this is far given the mods.

If you want all my spares & the brakes then £1000 ono

Spares include some G40 brakes with new ATE discs, GT inlet, TB, ISV, cam, injectors & rail, headlights and a few odds & sods.

Due to ill health this is viewing in Bristol only I'm afraid.

The idea of hagling is you go and look at the car and try and find faults

i've seen this, its a real good example, definately worth what he's asking. its a shame you are letting it go Andy.

what is the spare cam? wanna part with it seperate if its aftermarket...

I'm currently replacing the rear brake shoes and a slave cylinder after a problem this week. I'll put the centre console and passenger side cubby hole back in too.
