I'm gettin my boot smoothed but dont no what to smooth yet need some ideas

dont whether to keep the handle, or get rid of handle and badge and keep numplate recess or smooth the whole lot

need some pics to help me make my mind up

just smooth off handle and badge imo

nothing looks more stupid than a number plate in the rear window or hanging off the bumper. i mean WTF it looked better where it was

^^ SMOOTH, I reckon a black polo badge or chrome on the bottom right corner of the boot would look sweet.

no it isnt!

mine is a 420mm plate and i have had to use the 64mm bike font to fit thee reg onto it.

with it being uk font and not some scrawl etc i have never once had a problem with it!

to the un observant it looks fine!

It looks quality either way.

halfords sell shortened plates, its fine for instance with private plates u dnt want massive yellow plain areas eh !

an deffo smooth the boot handle its hideous

here is mine,if you imagine the number plate is bolted onto the right hand side of the bumper. I like the smoothed look. Just a few points though, dont stick your plate in the window if you dont want to get stopped by the fuzz on a weekly basis. Also i took all the handles off as i live on an estate and it prevents the brainless steeling whats inside my boot :) as they cant figure out how to open it. Some would use a brick lol.

Get the sanding block and filler out again

got to agree with that - did you not think to put a few more minutes into it before you sprayed it?

i know it takes a lil while to keep re-applying the filler and build it up but - surely better to do that then have a wavy line?

i removed the line al together on mine as i wanted to curve it longways and sideways to add a different look to it.

No, I'm not that pedantic and a lack of time. It looks fine unless you get an angle of light onto it. Not hugely interested in how it looks when it already has some issues with the body work. I just liked the smoothed look, was my first attempt and I am quite pleased with it. Once I've finished with my degree and have more time on my hands I will probably put more time into it.

Thanks for the input though, will keep it in mind for the future.

I just liked the smoothed look, was my first attempt and I am quite pleased with it. Once I've finished with my degree and have more time on my hands I will probably put more time into it.

Fair play, would be good if everyone took criticism like this instead of crying lol, I think it looks alright anyway, although I'm not a fan of excessive smoothing.

lol, Yeah I agree, I know its nothing personal anyway, its only an opinion. And I have to drive it everyday, which I'm happy doing so...

To be honest, although I like the smoothing, if I had the know-how I would probably do a jobby like 'youngprodigys' did. I'm sure ill figure it out sometime when i fancy redoing it.
