you are thoughts on the above plz, looking at getting a boot build done and require a sub n amp, heard em both and both very good which would u guys recomment out of em both ?

I'm a fan of JL I run a 12 inch one in my FR and I'm putting a pair of 8s in the KG. They are quite "tight" sound wise, not the loudest for a given power input.

What model numbers, there are so many in both ranges.

As a rule of thumb and taking an average of all the ranges there really isn't a lot in it, as long as it's well installed in the right box with a low pass filter set properly and the bass boost turned off it should sound good.

JL all the way, don't forget when looking at power ratings, JL give theirs at 12.5 volt, not at 14.5 which other companies do to make thers look better....

Voltage has nothing to do with subwoofers.

Some manufacturers will quote power ratings of amplifers at 12V and then again at 14.4V but that has nothing to do with the speaker.

JL make good stuff the 12w7 for a very loud application 12w6v2 for a sound quality application, but Diamond do the D9/TDX which will do both better.

Their are loads of other manufacturer to choose from, if you give me an idea of budget and power you have on tap then I'll come up with some cheaper and better sounding options than both of those brands.
