How Do Payouts Work?

Featured Replies

I'm in the middle of a claim, and was wondering how the payout will work?

Firstly i dont know if its written off or not, but if its not, then do they send me a cheque to have the work done, or do i send them the bill for the work??

Its all off the third party's insurance as it was his fault :)

Also, i dont have the logbook atm as it hasnt yet come through....ould i need it if it were written off?

Thanks :)

first of all they will assess your car to see weather it is economical to repair or right off ....if they repair it will be up to your insurance to arrange repair you should'nt have to do anything if you are intitled to a courtesey they will sort that for you although you wont get that if it is written off

if it is written off payment should'nt be more than a couple of weeks away they are pretty quick in my experiance......

hope this helps

good luck with your claim

bollocks are they quick. my cars been written off for 4 months and still no payout from norwich union. clearly 3rd partys fault she reversed into me on a main road.
