17"

Featured Replies

Hello again, quick question.

I've been going round in circles since November now, and I still don't have any alloys to show for it.

I've asked at Halfords if 17" will fit my 9N. They seem to think there's no problem, but I've heard from a few places that they simply wouldn't fit, and that 16" might fit at "a pinch".

Just looking for some confirmation, or even stories, has anybody had any troubles with 17", is it possible to fit them?

Getting really f*cked off with conflicting info at the moment.

Cheers

yea they will fit no problems just need to be careful what offset u get mate!!

i expect the stuff in halfords will all be in the 7x17" with 35-40 offset, and 205/40/17 tyres. they will go on ok, but depends how low your car is as to how driveable :ninja:

Yeah, my car is stock at the moment, but I was thinking of lowering it 40mm, shouldn't make a massive difference, right?

they will go on fine as it is. although lowering with springs always has different results. id always go for coilovers if possible. you can adjust to suit then

I wouldn't buy from Halfords mate! get something different, I had some from there and they said they would fit but they didn't, the wheels weren't that nice anyway.

i work for halfords and i wouldnt buy from there! the training they give on wheel fitment isnt all that!!! i'd go to some where where the people giving you advice are workin 5 days a week with wheels and tyres, not some where were the 17 year olds are doing saturdays!!!!
