Fitting Remote Central Locking To 6n

Hi, i am fitting a hawks remote central locking kit to my 6n and as anyone who has fitted one will know that the rod on the kit fits to the rod already in the cars locking system, however i took the front passanger seats door card off and there isn't a rod so does anyone know how to fit it?

Any help would be brilliant!
