whats the law about having your number plate in the window? is it ok as long as its easy to read?

probs illegal iv ebeen pulled a few times for gemran plates but no of them said anything about having it in window :)

I've been running it in window for nearly a year. and never been pulled for it

Had my plate in the windscreen and I started speaking to a copper (also my mate) and he loved it. Said I wouldn't get pulled over as it was clearly seen (Top, passenger side between A-Pillar and Rear view mirror)

its gonna be a grey area this, depends where you are and what the guy who pulls you is feeling like.

theres so many laws, I'm sure one of them would cover it..i would think they may be able to say something about it obscuring the windscreen or being a distraction, something like that

ask your local copper..they're not assholes or inhuman, at least not until youve broken the law anyway

haha, print that off and display it to the copper

iirc the plate can be anywhere on the front of the car if its clearly displayed no more then i think its 3 or 4ft off of the ground and isnt behind glass, but like people say, its a grey area!
