well I've been having polo withdrawral symptoms:(

il soon get myself a mk2 breadvan as a project/track car so I've been collecting bits for it.

went of to get me some wheels in my little golf. things didnt go to plan but i made it there paid and picked up my wheels:) great I'm a happy person right now.(me thinks)

20 miles after at about 11:30pm the car starts playing games:( engine temp rockes sky high so i pull over. rad is empty burnt all my lovley coolant oooooo. top it up with water and of i go burning it off instantly great head gaskets gone (for the 3rd time in 2 months).

but heyy i have some wheels:) pull over a few more times and top it up must have spent a good 5 quid on fekin volvic haahaa. by this time I'm still 45 miles away from home pulling in at every service station still open at midnight.

by now I'm royally pi*said off. and the engine temp starts to drop. hey all good. knowing its not fixed and I'm anoyed with stoping and starting i just keep in going. till.............................STOP................... haahaa whoops. push it off the round about and call some people.still 40 miles from home we find a bowling place still open so we go sit in there and have a pint what better things are there to do.and not the best time when it -4 outside and with no heating in the car we were cold.

BUT I HAVE SOME NEW WHEELS.....makes things better.

call the rac say I'm my dad and 90 minuites later I'm on the way home:)

hope you like my story but I'm rearlly bored right now.

while waiting outside for a hour after the bowling place shut we manuaged to amuse ourselves with 20 haribo bears...RARR.dancing like idiots and wearing sunglases and playing playin eye spy.and hang man on the windows.

And good plan for the wheels, that what i want for my next wheels (gold centre polished lip) Definately go for BBS Gold if you can source some, it's a much better colour than the colour my wheels were coated with, slighty dirtier, if that makes sense.

Did the recovery man have any problems loading your car up, as i know you're quite low? Just wondering for when I have to call them out, which i know will happen one day...

erm think the block must be warped for it to do it 3 time its always in the same place too but new engine time not so hope this will be the last.

yeh think il take them to aerocoat and get then done properly. so there mirror polished so there nice and shiney:).

not rearlly just the splitter bending in half and thats about it.no major problem but the look on the bloks face when he arrived was priceless dont think he thaught it was going to go on there.

Cool little story sounds like you made the best of a bad situation. Loving the BBS too will look awesome on a red breadvan when finished in gold. 13x6 has gota be the best size rim for bready's.

Whats this about the gold bbs paint too? wouldnt mind some to touch my rims up a bit.

bummer, I've been looking for a set of those Mahle BBs for time, cant find them anywhere in 4x100!!!!

there bbs wheels from a bmw e21/e12 called mahle come in quite a range of sizes but getting quite rare now i would say these are proberly near on 30 years old now.
