OK I think I have a new problem with the 16v, I think its a misfire but I dont know what one sounds like so I'm kidna guessing a little lol....

So my question is, if it does sound like that what do we reckon the problem could be. I have a list, please feel free to add to it! (my list might be wrong as I'm crap with this stuff)

HT Leads

Spark Plugs

Ignition Coil (its now been replaced twice)

Dizzy (which bit/bits?)

Rotary Arm? (also been replaced)

get a compresion test done if it still happnin and youve replaced the plugs n leads

its you are plugs the gap between them should be the same on all of them thus giving the right spark at the right time. get the gaps checked ?

the dizzy gives the firing order not the spark plug gaps, thats purly the strength of the spark

I think its the lamba sensor anyway, thats what the ECU says

dude i spend most of my life in leeds hahaha probs the lamba mate my car was missing and kept like dropping power all time couldnt be arsed to fix it so i ended up ripping it out and fitting somthing bigger lol

Well the lamba has been changed.

The car now drives fine when its moving

But you sit at lights and it idles at the normal 900RPMish but you can here this blub blub blub blub sound, not very nice! and there is an intermittent tick to. I'm getting bored now and I think the mechnic is well pisssed of with it ha
