The website went down for 5 mins..

Whilst is was down, I did some tests, and came to the conclusion that the DNS was ok eg clubpolo.co.uk still resolved to the right IP, and I could telnet the IP. Thus coming to the conclusion that apache had crashed.

Apache is the webserver they use to run the forum :p

:)

Geek talk

late last night, so i want to bed instead. lol

but his post about it was at 8:45pm, how can it have been later than that unless he can see into the future? Or unless you consider 8:45pm to be late night?

There's no sign of anything gone wrong in the apache logs but I need a more accurate time to really tell as the daily logs are too big to sift through a whole evenings worth. Plenty of people looking at the site between 8:40 & 8:45 so nothing seems to have been wrong then.

I pm'ed Panda and Sally at the time of it happening, not sure if they have the time logs on msn on.

It would have been for about 3 mins and about 2 mins between this, as I kept telnetting apache until it responding, then posted on the forum to let you know..

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

You could look in the apache error log file? If you have loads of entried in there then you have other issues.

Pm me or MSN if you need to.
