Ok so as some may know I have got rid of my mk4 in my profile picture and have bought a GT. I never looked twice at mk3's when I first started to get in to the Vdub scene. Thats i met G40 Ad on here and he took me for a blast in his mark 3 G40.

Instantly I was hooked and couldnt stop smiling all the way to Telford international centre for Ultimate Dubs last year where i saw some sweet Dubz and got hooked on lowness when i saw this.

On the way home I wasnt convinced that I could have a mk3 as a daily as I had it in my head old cars always went wrong alot and were not comfy. Then Ad played the failsafe trick of telling me about "The Relaxi Taxi". I laughed at the pictures and thought it was a heap but respected the look of it as it was different and for some reason I grew to like it.

Cue Taxi...

So after many weeks I finally got to have a passanger drive in the Taxi over the cat and fiddle. Holy Shit that thing was incredible, nothing but wheelspin and flames and me screaming my head off nearly curling one out after the first three corners. We arrived at the cat n fiddle pub and parked up and that was enough, i was getting a GT without fail.

So as said I had a mk4 that looked like this...

I had to keep it for a while until insurance would allow me my 100BHP policy for under a grand and in the mean time I saved up and did with the 6n and its sound system to keep me happy.

my 19th birthday saw me taking out a policy with Brentacre and I had already aquired the GT which was in quite good condition bar a few dents.

Then I got on to PhilJ about a lowering kit and he sorted me out with a 60/40 kit. Here it is fitted 60 front and 40 rear curtoesy of RoloPolo!

Future Plans include

Bodywork sorting, theres two dints and some stone chips that i want rid of

New wheels and tyres, something with dish and some decent tyres.

Sounds such as focals in dash and an ipod headunit that blends with the dash.

New anti rollbars front lwoer and upper as well as rear.

New bumpers as these ones are slightly saggy.

Raceland four branch and longlife full system.

Polo-PP chip

New plates

philips supervision Bulbs

Thats all I've got planned and would ideally like to tidy it up enjoy it and then get a G40!

Cheers Matt, did have a load of pictures to upload from the mobile of its recent progress but I ended up pouring half a pint over my phone alst night and its fucked so looks like ill have to wait till my new phone arrives and take some new photos!

Got to try and get a chip ordered and some wheels from Ebay.de and get them fitted before ultimate dubs with some fresh tread and it should be looking reasonably good bar the dints on the bodywork.

Also going to get some pressed plates.

On the lookout for a heater resistor if anyone has one local to me??!!

i want a gt now. 6n's 60bhp bores me.

Id only ever drive a valver or conversion of some sort if i went back to a mark four.

It was the worst uncomfortable problematic piece of crap i ever drove. I still cannot believe i used to worry about the reliability of a mk3 and that the mk4 was somehow better. I guess its all personal preference but IMO it was a poor model.

Well, been a while since i updated this thread. Had a few problems with lowering the car but I'm pretty sure they are all sorted now.

Know what wheels I'm getting and they are coming from German eBay next month if i can get the cash together in time. Should be on for Ultimate Dubs with any hope.

Rightio.. Update time.

The car hasn't actually changed much at all however i did spend four hours cleaning it today. Ready for Ultimate Dubs.

So here's how it looks after a hardcore polishing session (I've never polished a car before BTW)

Booked in for a sub amp n component set up next week so will update more then. Bodywork also being done next month and a set of Exips and low pros!

Yeah there is a full head rebuild n four branch with longlife system coming to the car next month if all goes to plan!
